Bottle cap collection and recycling campaign

At Riva we seek to encourage all our personnel to protect the environment in order to guarantee an efficient and controlled waste process. For this reason, we decided to join the Garrahan Recycling Program, a solidary and ecological project; through recycling, the hospital can buy equipment and medical supplies, carry out social assistance and maintain the Garrahan House, which provides housing for approximately 1,000 children per year. Recycling the waste from our work contributes to a second life with benefits for the environment and health. The projects of Constitution, Saenz Transshipment Center, General Archive of the Nation, Pro.Cre.Ar Bs.As. and Astor San Telmo have already started with the campaign. We thank the Hygiene and Safety team, and all the work teams that continue to join this initiative.

Completion of the works at Police Station No. 22 of Puerto Madero

Since the construction of the Paseo del Bajo was imminent, the relocation of the current Police Station No. 22 was necessary. Accordingly, Old Puerto Madero Corporation S.A. entrusted Riva with the construction of a new building for the police station, located at Av. Huergo 1350 and Av. Juan de Garay, in Puerto Madero.

The building is projected as an operational deployment center that has sizeable changing rooms, armory sector, handdies and vests; an academy and training space for staff training. Additionally, citizen complaints can be received in this police station and thus the building has an area for administrative tasks and victim assistance.

The new space of the police station has 1,200 covered squared meters, distributed on two floors, with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. It will be sustainable, since it has a green terrace and a “gray water” rainwater gathering system, that supplies the sprinkler irrigation system.

The project Metra Puerto Norte Building (stage 2) was launched

The building is located in one of the areas of greatest growth and splendor of Rosario: Puerto Norte, which stands out for its location near the center, its privileged view and access to the river. This place went through an important transformation, going from being the old Industrial Port to one of the most exclusive places in the city.

Riva will be in charge of the construction of one of the 8 towers that the project contemplates. The building will have 22 floors for housing and commercial premises, two underground parking levels and recreational areas; we have a period of 24 months to complete a covered area of 10,000 m2. Our client is TGLT S.A, the project is by Mc Cormack Asociados and we will be accompanied by structuralist Alberto Fainstein.

Modernization of the Iguazú Airport

The works started at the Iguazú Airport, with a new, more modern and functional terminal. The works will expand its current surface of 8,000m² to 15,000m² in total, with new sectors for check-in, boarding and arrivals that will substantially improve the travel experience of all passengers.

Currently, parking is being expanded from 188 to 400 parking spaces. In addition, this year the track and taxiways will be rebuilt to give them a longer life, which will strengthen air operation safety.

Progress in the construction of AGN

Work continues on the new headquarters of the Archivo General de La Nación, on the premises where Cárcel de Caseros originally stood. The Riva team did a very meticulous work in the demolition with mechanical tools to avoid generating excess vibrations that could affect the hospitals in the area.

Another transcendental decision for the projects was the change in the foundations system. The objective was to protect the environment and reduce the number of meters of excavations. For the warehouse building, a special piloting was chosen, which allowed digging only the subsoil sector. For the administration, a plateau foundation was used excavating only two meters, instead of the eleven initially planned.

In addition, the construction of the deposit is made with special care, since it must meet specific requirements that favor the preservation of historical documents.
